I have a sudden urge to locate and pet a spotted kitten….
For those intimidated by writing, here are two more ways to get started: 1) Start with the second paragraph, which doesn’t need to be clever or engaging; it’s just info. Then you can go back and write the opener when you’re finished and your confidence level is higher.
2) Go ahead and start with the first paragraph, but tell yourself that it doesn’t matter if what you start with is cr*p: you can always change your mind and rewrite it (ah, the miracle of the delete button). I often start with one paragraph that I know I’ll hate, then I rewrite it a time or two from a diff. angle, and I know I’ve hit gold when I have no more urge to rewrite the opener…the rest of it just flows.
Anyway, have fun. It gets easier the more you do it!
thanks Caro, one of the best explanations i’ve come across to begin writing articles yet. and i find you very easy to follow as well. thanks again p.s love the cats!
Just gorgeous! What a smile! Great content – great presentation – very applicable. One supportive nit I learned for presenting PP bullets: read every bullet thru first, then speak the summary to each bullet. The reason it works is that the mind wants to read them all right away, but then miss much of the summary comments while reading. Hope this is supportive.
Copyright and plagiarism are HUGE!!!
Be very careful how you go about using other peoples writings in your own articles. From what I understand plagiarism refers to the idea of the article and not necessarily the word-for-word content. In other words a paraphrased article can be subject to plagiarism. make sure than no more than 30% of the total article belongs to another author, with or without sources. Make sure you adhere to APA or MLA format when making your articles.
How does this sound; “perspective unique content”? If you don’t have a perspective, go get one! watch ten video’s, read 5 articles, and cram the subject matter into your dome; take a break, eat bag of Cheetos and drink a coke then chill and write a 400 word article from ” your perspective” Try it!
Awesome video Caro. Love the accent (I’m Canadian). Love the info you shared. I used to dread the idea of writing articles, even though I do love to write. But, you’ve made it look Fun and Much Easier. Many thanks for sharing this Caro. Looking forward to watching your other video’s, and this one a few more times.

15I’m not only becoming good at Market Samurai, I’m becoming an expert on the Australian accent, which will come handy when I go out to the clubs.
