Is this you? You work your tail off building your blog, you make it real pretty, real interesting. You do some SEO stuff. Maybe it’s an adsense blog, and … you see hardly any clicks! Darn!
This would be easiest to solve if you knew the point where it’s breaking down.
For example, you know the beginning (you create a blog with some traffic-generation stuff), and you know the end (very few visitors clicking on adsense), but it’s unclear which parts of what you’re already doing are working, and which are not. That is, there are many unknown facts in between the beginning and the end.
For example –

As most folks know, one of the things search engines examine is your Page Title, and also the filename of the page (like white-tennis-shoes.html for example), to help them figure out what your page is about, so that they can serve it up to somebody looking for just that thing.
Because of the convenience of working with blog software, these days lots of people use it to build their sites. Because of its popularity, I’ll use Wordpress blog software in this example.
When you’re creating a ‘page’ in Wordpress, you get to choose your title, and that’s swell. And on that page-editing panel, you can also tweak the name of the ‘page’. That is your title might be ‘How to get the Most Comfortable White Tennis Shoes’, and you might tweak the page name to be ‘white-tennis-shoes’ on that same panel.
But when you create a ‘post’ (or article), in a default Wordpress install, you have no option to tweak the ‘page name’. And in fact, the default page name will look something like this –
http://yourgreatdomain.com/?p=1234
However, it’s easy to fix, so that the url and page name becomes –
http://yourgreatdomain.com/white-tennis-shoes/
Here’s how –

Image by Getty Images via DaylifeBig bad ‘Blogroll.’ You’ve seen this showing up on a default wordpress installation. Even after you pick a nice theme, there it is: Blogroll.
Doesn’t it sound like some kind of deli sandwich with a horrid meat called ‘Blogony?’
In many cases, looking so bloggish with a Blogroll doesn’t further your goals.
But fixing this up, to change a weakness to a strength … That’s easy. Here’s how …

The following is an advertisement for a software product called Keyword Analyzer. The reason we’re posting this advertisement here is that this program is really, really good. We bought it. And when you see how nicely it does, quite likely you will want to get it as well.
However, there is one drawback to this program, in a way. To really work well, and give results like lightning, as you can see in their videos requires … a monthly subscription. Now, as you know, one of the very best ways to not have much money is to buy stuff that costs you all over again every month!
And to really run really, really fast like in their videos you need a monthly subscription to some kind of keywords database. And if you’ve shopped around, you may have been startled by the monthly cost of some of these database subscriptions. For example, WordTracker, or Wordze, and Keywords Discovery.
However, in this case, it’s not that bad, because the same company making this software, BlueInfinity, as of two months ago, as I write this, actually came out with a monthly keywords subscription that’s only $14, called Webwords. Yes, still, it’s a monthly subscription. But, no, it’s not a whole lot of money, and it will give you huge power and run way faster than more expensive solutions, such as Keywords Elite.
That may have been more explanation than you wanted to hear. Darn!
But, that’s the reason, that we’re allowing this advertisement from Chris Lee of the BlueInfinity company, to be placed here. Their ad says it about the same way we’d say it. So here it is …

Even if you’re not using Google’s AdSense to Monetize your online business web pages, it still may be useful to you!
“AdSense,” a made-up proper noun: describes a service offered by Google. You paste some JavaScript on your page, and it queries Google. Their back-end web servers find paying-advertisement customers (their program called “AdWords”) and pass some of these for display on your page. If a visitor clicks, the advertiser pays Google, and Google pays you.
“Monetize,” a made-up verb: a trendy way to say “make money from.” Specifically to modify a webpage in such a way that it brings money to you.
The key that is useful to you is that Google must analyse the keywords and search terms on your page in order to do this. Motivated by money, Google *will* analyse your page. And this is where you can use Google to your advantage.

Maybe you have a pretty website. Maybe you sell something really swell. Maybe your online product is a real bargain.
None of it matters squat … unless you can get visitors to your website. Unless you can get ‘traffic.’
The old slogan for a retail store is that the three things that matter the most are ‘location, location, and location.’ It’s true enough. Generally you visit the stores you can easily get to. That’s what other folks do also.
But … what is a location on the internet? + READ MORE
